You may bring your own picnic, and consumption of alcohol is allowed in Apffel Park / East Beach This Galveston Sandcastle Competition annual event brings in dozens of teams from around Galveston to build the most impressive sandcastles. The AIA SandCastle Competition is a fund-raising event for AIA Houston and ArCH Foundation as well as one of the top five revenue generating events for the City of Galveston
